Wicked Pig - Hog Roast (Morrison’s)

It wasn’t that long ago I first discovered Fridge Raiders and thought they were a wonderful new chicken snack. Exploring the isles in Morrison’s I spotted these Wicked Pig snacks, which are a similar concept, only made of pork.
I decided to try them for the first time at work, as an afternoon snack. When I opened the bag I was a little overwhelmed by the smell! Think ridiculously strong garlic / chicken stuffing aroma filling the office. Thankfully the taste was a lot tamer (these are supposed to be the plainest variety).
The flavour was meaty with a strong but reasonable amount of herbs and garlic. The texture was soft, but inconsistent like minced meat patties. They made a rather enjoyable snack, and they got the office thumbs up. However there is quite a heavy garlic aftertaste that lingers longer than desired. Tasty, but don’t eat them just before an important meeting!

I just tried these - massive packets and it only had 7 pieces! Disappointing and over priced. Will stick to yummy fridgeraiders.

Anon - know what you mean about the bag size! Fridgeraiders seem to have less strong aroma too.

Was very disappointed with the 7 little pieces in the bottom of a rather oversized bag. Good job they were on a special low price as wouldnt have been happy paying alot for them. Dont think will buy again.

I share another's comment about the derisory content of actual product in the pack. Just looked at their forecasted sales. They'll make a nice chunk of money but i imagine most mums will buy them once, pack their kids off and then be met with 'mum, there was hardly any in the pack' - and never buy them again. 7 pieces in a pack that size (suspiciously like fridge raiders) is a poor show. so, i bet the sales graph will peak and then slowly tail off - even with the entry-market discounts. no one likes being ripped off and even at 2 for a £1, i won't buy them again

This website is a food review blog, you need to contact the company.

It sounds like you had a burst bag or something. Why not let the company who manufacturer them know - I'm sure they would want to investigate. Also you could let the shop you bought them from know too, I'm sure they would want to help.
