I hope you all had a happy Halloween. I hope a freaky time was had by all and lots of sweets were consumed by Trick or Treaters. As you know, I like my beer. I have written about Adnam's Southwold Ghost Ship Ale before, and I remember I rather liked it.
Now I have Ghost Ship - Beyond the Pale Ale. Spooky as it sounds, it's only 0.5% in volume. Also of note, malted rye is in the ingredients, which is my favourite malt in beer. So, I'm rather looking forward to trying this.
On opening Ghost Ship - Beyond the Pale Ale has a crisp pale malt aroma. On taste there was bitter herbal hops to begin with, followed by sweet pale malts and a touch of spice from the malted rye. All in all, a lovely low alcohol ale, but I'd rather it was a little heavier on the malted rye.
Boo!
