As part of my trip to IKEA to buy spooky lanterns for Halloween (and still get no Trick Or Treat visits) we bought a big meal's worth of meatballs - and because of the veggies - non meat balls too!
HUVUDROLL red bags are meat - pork and beef mix - and these are the classic IKEA meatballs.
These are some mushed together vegetables pretending to be meatballs. They'd be better as a side.
These are shredded potato pancakes - they are most awesome - a little fry and they are sorted.
This is the gravy that brings it all together - but - it required ingredients added to it to make it sing like in the IKEA café so we have saved it for later.
Potato cake goodness
With the veggie balls as a 'side'
With the goodness of the actual meatballs.
Forgot to buy the lingonberry jam, but cranberry works too - but we were at nannas so had no supplies.
Tastes as good as I remember, but I could have sworn that they were much bigger! Maybe I'm just getting old.
Either way, a classic meal, and we still have the frozen IKEA pancakes to try another weekend.
