So I bought this box of Butterkist Toffee and Popcorn Ice Cream Cones just as I don’t think I’d seen Butterkist branch out into anything that wasn’t mainly popcorn. Inside the box are four wafer cones filled with a chocolate coating, popcorn flavoured ice cream, toffee sauce and popcorn crunchy topping. They looked lovely.
The sprinkled topping on the top tasted strongly like popcorn, and it had a nice crunch from the solid caramel (I guess actual popcorn would have gone soggy). The flavour was good though and it was the major popcorn taste. The ice cream has a lovely creamy flavour, there was popcorn there but it was mild, nice like a vanilla. The toffee sauce went through quite far down the cone which was a lovely touch and really made these cones, it was lovely and rich and there was plenty of it too. I liked the touch of chocolate as it stops the ice cream melting through the bottom of the cone. I may have had to narrow down my choices because of the space in my freezer but I’m so glad I bought these, they will definitely be a repurchase.
