Bertha - The World Famous Chocolate Cake Stout (Morrisons) By @SpectreUK

Bertha - The World Famous Chocolate Cake Stout

I have steak pie and chips tonight. I'll probably have something chocolatey for dessert, washed down with this pudding beer, Bertha - The World Famous Chocolate Cake Stout.

I haven't tasted Bertha's World Famous Chocolate Cake, though I'm sure it's lovely. My favourite Chocolate Fudge Cake was made by an old lady when I was on holiday in Combe Martin, in Devon, when I was about 8 years old.

Produced by Northern Monk, at 8.4% in volume, this Bertha - The World Famous Chocolate Cake Stout is going to be very rich indeed. The original cake is sold in Fortnum and Mason, and produced by Get Baked.

On opening the can there was a luscious aroma of chocolate fudge cake. On pouring, Bertha was a thick almost gooey jet black stout with a frothy head.

There was a creamy vanilla flavour to this malted chocolate milk stout. This must be the creamiest, chocolatiest stout I have ever tasted. Bertha was the perfect pudding stout in my mind. Simply gorgeous.
