Although I don’t consider myself to be that good with chilli heat, I’m usually okay with crisps. I think in the scheme of things, I like a medium heat, more than some, but certainly nothing that hurts. On multiple occasions, I have added chilli to a pizza and spent the meal saying "My mouth is on fire". Crisps, however, whatever the warning labels, aren’t usually that bad. These Walkers Max Strong Hot Sauce Blaze Crisps were covered in all the warning labels: "Can you handle the heat?" And black and yellow tape decorations. Ominous, but this isn’t my first rodeo.

I poured the Walkers Max Strong Hot Sauce Blaze Crisps out on a plate to have with a sandwich for lunch. There was yoghurt for dessert in case things got serious. I picked up a crisp and gave it a try, it was actually hot! I could taste chilli sauce, salt, and even some paprika. There wasn’t that much depth to the flavour, but I have to admit they had a good heat. I could still eat them, so I know they are not the hottest crisps in the world, but I also know my mouth was buzzing when I finished the pack. They are far hotter than most hot crisps, so they get a thumbs up from me.
