I have a cheese and cold meats meal tonight. I usually have rum and lemonade, or a Ruby Port, to wash it down, but tonight I fancy a cider with it. So, I found this PULPT White Peach & Raspberry Cider - Melba in my local Tesco Express.
I haven’t had a Peach Melba dessert before, I’ve always wanted to try it. Last time I saw it on a menu at a spa hotel, I went for the Sticky Toffee Pudding instead. It was a really good Sticky Toffee Pudding though.
This PULPT White Peach & Raspberry Cider - Melba, was made with a blend of craft cider, ripe peaches and Scottish raspberries. On opening the can of this 3.4% in volume cider, there was a strong aroma of peaches and raspberries.
I expected this PULPT White Peach & Raspberry Cider - Melba to be a pinkish colour from the raspberries, but it was a light golden colour instead. Lightly fizzy, this cider had a mild sweetness from the peaches mixed with the raspberries to begin with. There was still predominantly cider apple in the flavour, with sweet peaches and raspberries into the aftertaste. All nicely balanced and very refreshing.
