The base ice cream is wonderfully creamy, with that signature shortbread flavour running through it. What really makes it, though, are the generous add-ins. There are ribbons of rich caramel sauce, crunchy shortbread pieces, and plenty of chocolate chips scattered throughout. I was impressed that the shortbread pieces kept their crunch, which made them really stand out against the smooth ice cream. The chocolate bits gave a nice extra bite too, making the texture varied and fun.
The caramel sauce was thick, sweet and indulgent, bringing everything together into a proper millionaires shortbread experience. It’s one of those tubs where you find yourself going back for “just another spoonful” until you realise you’ve eaten a lot more than you meant to. Overall, this is a really enjoyable and indulgent ice cream, and a great twist from Kelly’s. Definitely worth picking up from Iceland if you’re a fan of sweet, loaded ice creams.
