On a recent last minute trip to a spa hotel, I enjoyed steak and chips on the evening, and this lovely Snow Fox, by Charnwood brewery. At 4.1% in volume, Snow Fox is a blonde beer, which may not usually be my first choice to go with a steak meal. However, the name of the beer reminded me of this time of year.
Snow Fox smelt of sweet malted barley, with a taste of sweet malt biscuit flavour to begin with, followed by crisp bitter herbal hops, and an almost malted wheat flavour into the aftertaste. This Snow Fox was really nice indeed, and went very well washing down my steak meal. I had a cheese board and fruity port to finish. We also had a nice relaxing time in the spa. Cheers.
