Movement Limited Edition Coca-Cola by Rosalia - Our Guesses!! (Tesco) by @cinabar

I have found another limited edition Coca-Cola, this one is called Movement and it is by Rosalia. The can is very funky and very pink, but I know better than to think the colour will influence the flavour. I poured the cola out into a glass, it was the usual colour, so no clues there. The aroma was very similar to that of Vanilla Coke. This might be easier than I thought.

I took a sip of the drink, and while it didn't taste exactly like Vanilla Coke, it was close. There was a background taste of something else too, something similar and annoyingly familiar that I couldn't quite pin down. I think there might have been coconut mixed in there, it is creamy and sweet and works nicely with the cola, but it wasn’t quite tropical.

If I had to pick a flavour for this Movement Limited Edition Coca Cola by Rosalia drink, I think I would settle on coconut macaroons as my guess. That would explain the creamy vanilla coconut flavour without being too heavy on the coconut milk side of things. Other guesses at Foodstuff Finds included cheesecake and the idea that there was something like berry or floral mixed in, so we weren’t sure ourselves on it. Have you tried it? What are your guesses? 

Juicy Drop Blasts - YouTube Hyped Kids Candy (@NLi10)

I'm not one to be swayed by all the hype and advertising, we still haven't tried Prime - even though it's ONLY £5 now from the paper-shop who diligently go and buy Asda out every day.

Before all that hit I used to get adverts every day for a kids sweet called Juicy Drop Blasts. Made by the big corp Bazooka candy (presumably Joe has retired now) and with very snazzy adverts I presumed they'd be very expensive.

But it's £1 for a bag!

It's basically breaking bad with rainbows instead of drugs.

Look at all the different flavours they do - clearly that's what the lads are discussing here.

I love adverts for sweets for 12 year olds that use 18-21 year olds as the actors!

As I don't have friends to do sour challenges with I just made a graph.  Seems they expect you to want more strawberry ones and raspberry than the odder flavours.

Lemon is great - it's a chewy lemon sherbert

Strawberry is fine - a nice sedate flavour

Raspberry is like the squishies

cola is odd - 2 was correct

I'd like more of the apple one - I love green apples

Watermelon tastes accurate but sherbet watermelons are odd.

Overall - these are just Starburst//Opal Fruits with some sherbet down the centre.

Good harmless fun, and nowhere near as sour or daring as the adverts suggested - but really nice to have as a treat occasionally at work.

Heverlee Pilsner Lager (Tesco) By @SpectreUK

I'm definitely late to the party with this Heverlee Pilsner Lager. It was a Belgian Pilsner that was produced in collaboration with the Abbey of the Order of Premontre. This 4.8% in volume Heverlee lager was brewed by Wellpark Brewery, in Glasgow, and was inspired by beers that have been brewed by the abbey since the year 1129. So I am definitely a little bit late to the party.

On opening the bottle there was a familiar Pilsner aroma from the golden beer inside. This Heverlee Pilsner Lager was not too belly burping fizzy, in fact it was pretty calm for a lager. I'm not usually a fan of lager as it can give me the awful belches, which I've been told off for drowning out the TV. Light and crisp and fresh in flavour, with a mild bite of herbal hops amongst all that Pilsner, Heverlee Pilsner Lager is a relaxing beer for afternoons in the sunshine, and been as though it was a sunny day for a change, I drank this beer with a good book in the garden. Perfect.

Mr. Kipling Egg Fancies (Tesco) by @cinabar

These are an Easter treat from Mr. Kipling based on the classic fondant fancies but with a seasonal twist. Don’t worry though, they are not actually egg-flavoured, which is a relief! Seriously, please no. Thankfully, they are simply vanilla, but they are made to look like eggs because there is yolk inside.

I opened up the box, and the Mr. Kipling Egg Fancies look very smart. They are an Easter product, but they look quite dainty with their pastel icing and golden yolk, served in a cute old-school paper case.

I gave one a taste, and the flavours were lovely and delicate, sweet and creamy with plenty of vanilla. The sponge is moist and sweet, these cakes have a good, light texture. Visually, the cakes look even nicer once you bite in and reveal the bright yolk inside. It is super cute.

These Mr. Kipling Egg Fancies may not be the most adventurous Easter treat, but they are tasty and sweet, and the novelty of the design was enough to make me smile.

PUKKA Pies - Chip Shop Chicken Curry Pie (@NLi10)

Pukka Pies are usually pretty reliable, filling and with decent flavours and quality ingredients.  I’m always happy to try new ones - so seeing this chip-shop curry variety was a treat

Essentially (at least in Britain) Chip-Shop curry is just spicy gravy - which is essentially the Japanese Curry ‘Katsu’.  This means that it lacks a kick, but does have. A lovely warm flavour to it.

I mean it doesn’t have that much inside - chicken & potato - but I’m ok with that.  Ordinarily I’d get chips on the side too - that’s the main thing I’m lacking here!

Instead we get crispy potato things, and a few frozen veg - a balanced and healthy meal.

And yeah - there is a lot of ‘growing room’ in the pie here, but in this price category you aren’t usually going to manage to beat Pukka for value.

The pie tastes like a chip-shop chicken curry.  I could have eaten two without much effort - but with the sides it worked well.  Although I really did want chips with it.
