So these Sour Cream & Chive Lentil Chips are apparently a "fusion of crushed chives blended with the cool fresh flavour of sour cream". They do know how to phrase things at Burts. These crisps sounded pretty tedious on the front of the packet to me. However, now I'm positively enthralled. Nevertheless, they should go well with my chicken sandwich for lunch. I always thought chicken sandwiches were thoroughly boring until one day a bizarre idea hit me between the tastebuds; why not add barbecue sauce? And then yum, I've never looked back. So at least these Burts Sour Cream & Chive Lentil Chips should be complementary with my chicken sandwich.
On trying to over enthusiastically tear open the packet, I found that these Burts Sour Cream & Chive Lentil Chips were shell like in shape. In taste they were creamy to start with, subtle in flavour, and then with a tiny smack of chives into the aftertaste. Crunchy in texture, their flavour went quite well with my barbecue chicken and tomato sandwich, but to be honest the subtlety of their flavour was a little lost against the barbecue sauce. Strangely the flavour seemed to be more in the aftertaste rather than the eating. I'm not sure I'd have them again though, as I prefer stronger flavours to my snacks.
Information on the packet; The 20g bag had 98 calories, with 4.9g of fat, 0.5g of sugar, and 0.3g of salt. Please see photograph for the ingredients.
