On opening, the loaf was just a little paler than usual and had a lemon fruity smell to it. On taste this Soreen Lemon Mini Loaf had a flavour of what may happen during a collision between two buffet trolleys on a train, with one carrying Lemon Drizzle Cake, and the other carrying fruit cake, but the sweet sugar topping on the lemon drizzle flew out of the nearest window.
However, I rather liked this loaf for its citrus zing, sticky centre and fruity goodness. These Soreen Lemon Mini Loaves will be a welcome regular to my lunchbox any day, with any of the other flavours of Soreen Mini Loaves.
