Milka Oreo MMMMax (B&M) By @Cinabar

That isn’t a typo on the title, they really did combine “mmm” and “max” to call this MMMMax. Not the prettiest name for a chocolate bar, but it does hint at the size, and this bar is huge. I almost didn’t buy it, it was just for me and I knew it would take a while to get through, but I gave in because I can’t resist Milka chocolate.

Peeling back the wrapper, I noticed each piece of chocolate has “MMM” stamped on it. They’re definitely committed to the new word. Breaking off a strip revealed thick milk chocolate, plenty of Oreo biscuit, and a layer of soft white chocolate that tasted just like the filling inside an Oreo.

Taking a bite, the texture of such a chunky bar was perfect. The smooth chocolate, crunchy biscuit, and sweet filling worked so well together. I love Oreos, and that mix of sweet but slightly bitter cocoa with my favourite Milka chocolate was pure heaven.

When I bought the bar, I worried it might be too big for me to finish. Now I’m worried I’ll be judging myself for eating it too quickly.

Milka Shake (Iceland) By @Cinabar

Today wasn’t the ideal weather for a milkshake. Summer has passed, and we’re now into heavy rain and thunderstorms. The temperature is muggy, but I still fancied trying this Milka Shake to cool off. When I got it home, I noticed the instructions on the lid were simple enough; shake, open, drink, but they also mentioned you could microwave it for one minute and have it as a hot chocolate. I really liked that idea. There should be more drinks you can just zap and enjoy hot; I’d be all for that.

 

I’d already decided to have it cold, so I gave it a gentle shake, opened it, and it looked quite nice with a layer of bubbles on top.

Before I get to the taste, I need to add my Milka disclaimer. I love Milka chocolate, it's my absolute favourite. While I enjoy most chocolate, Milka is always my first choice, so I know its taste inside out.

I took a sip, and it was pleasant, nicely chocolatey, but very sweet. I could also pick up on the distinctive flavour you get with ultra heat-treated milk. What was missing for me was that familiar, slightly nutty Milka taste. The extra sweetness meant it didn’t quite hit the mark as a Milka drink. It’s a perfectly nice sweet chocolate milkshake, just not quite what I was hoping for.

Milka Strawberry Chocolate (Local Shop) By @Cinabar

This chocolate bar was another find at our new found local shop. The shop is mostly an off-licence but has a surprisingly good selection of imported sweets, chocolate, and drinks. I picked up a few goodies, and of course, I spotted my favourite brand of European chocolate, Milka, which had to include this Milka Strawberry Chocolate bar. The packaging has some English on it, but I think it originated in Poland.

The bar is made with milk chocolate and a strawberry filling, complete with freeze-dried strawberry pieces. I’d kept it in the fridge because of the heat today, so when I broke a chunk off, it had a lovely snap from the cold chocolate. I gave it a try and the flavours were just delicious. The creamy Milka chocolate comes through first, but as it melts, the strawberries take centre stage, like the perfect strawberry cream chocolate. There is loads of fruity goodness, and the chocolate works so well with it. It has a surprisingly British summer feel for an imported bar, but I absolutely loved it. This is such a fab find, I can’t wait to try the other treats I picked up too.

Milka Bubbly White (Tesco) By @Cinabar

It's always a treat to find a different version of Milka chocolate here in the UK, and as a fan of bubbly bars, I had high hopes for this one.

As soon as I unwrapped it, I thought the bar looked lovely with its bubbly design. It’s not the easiest to share, though, the pieces don’t break off very cleanly, and it did crumble a bit.

Taste-wise, I was really pleased. That distinctive Milka flavour still comes through thanks to the fairly thick coating. The white chocolate adds a lovely sweet creaminess, reminding me a little of Kinder chocolate. It’s sweet, creamy, and a proper little treat, perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Texture-wise, it hits the mark too. The bubbles give it a lightness while still feeling firm. I really enjoyed it and would happily pick up another bar. Let's hope we see more Milka variants in the UK.

Milka Spekulatius - Spice Biscuit (GB Gifts) By @Cinabar

My favourite chocolate is Milka, one of my favourite biscuits are spice biscuits, the combination of the two had me looking for imports on the internet and was another reason I ended up ordering a stash of goodies online. From the wrapper this is a Christmas edition because as usual people think cinnamon is a Christmas spice where as I think it is an all year spice, but as it is coming up to the season I will embrace it where I can find it.

The bar has crushed spice biscuits in the centre mixed with the chocolate, although you can’t tell by looking at the top, there are quite a lot of bits inside, the aroma though is chocolate and ginger. I loved the texture of this bar, the chocolate is soft and the biscuits wonderfully crunchy so it was a good mix. The spice from the biscuits is like the aroma heavy on the ginger but there was also a lot of cinnamon that kept me happy. I found the chocolate left a tingle too which I guessing was the heat from the ginger which made it a proper warming bar. I would have preferred the emphasis to be on the cinnamon but I liked the mix of spices and thoroughly enjoyed the bar.

Philadelphia Milka Chocolate (Asda) By @Cinabar

There used to be a cheese based spread by Philadelphia that was flavoured with Cadbury chocolate. It was actually for sale for several years before disappearing, and then the rest of their cheese spreads went back to being savoury or of course plain. Asda has added this Philadelphia Milka Chocolate cream cheese as a new addition to their website so I eagerly popped it my virtual basket. I love Milka chocolate, I have European tastebuds where chocolate is concerned.
I’m going to be honest I wasn’t quite sure what to do with this Philadelphia Milka Chocolate when it arrived. I don’t buy a lot of cream cheese and if we do have a tub of Philadelphia in it is most likely to end up in a sandwich with some smoked salmon, heaven. I also don’t buy a lot of chocolate spreads either, despite my sweet tooth.

Sweet cream cheese is a different idea, and I thought that there would be many people buying it to use in a cheesecake, which I imagine this would be perfect for. In the end I had some for breakfast on a piece of toast. The spread is quite thick but easily covered my toast and melted into it with the warmth. The bread looked like it had been covered in Nutella, but this was a very different flavour. The cocoa was quite mild and the sweetness fairy subdued. It looked a lot richer than it was from the colour, but was more Philadelphia with a touch of Milka Chocolate. I think if your tastebuds are expecting chocolate spread they will be disappointed, but it does do what it says on the tub. Sweetened cream cheese with a chocolate flavour. I’m sure all the people who used to buy Philadelphia made with Cadbury Chocolate will be pleased to have a tasty replacement.

Milka Choc Chip Cake (Poundland) By @Cinabar

It is no secret that Milka is my favourite chocolate. I’m not sure what makes a favourite chocolate, perhaps it is because I had it as a child. I have a soft spot for Cadbury, but given a straight choice it is Milka all the way. Although the availability of Milka has increased over the years, I still get very excited about finding something new or something I haven’t tried before, often in a pound shop.

I spotted this box of Milka Choc Chip Cake bars in Poundland, the purple box stood out on the shelf an dI just couldn’t resist them. When I got them home I thought the box opening was very smart and it revealed large foil wrapped cake bars inside. Each bar has a crisscross pattern on the top and the sponge had quite a few visible Milka chocolate chips baked in. As excited as I had been about trying a new Milka product the cake bar turned out not to be that novel. The sponge was fine, moist and sweet and the hint of Milka chocolate was nice, but the flavour wasn’t special. If anything it was a bit generic in flavour, it was not really distinguishable from a number of cake bars from big companies to supermarket own. Don’t get me wrong I will enjoy these as a treat in my lunch box, but the only reason I’d be repurchasing them is for the excellent value for a pound, rather than because of my love of Milka.

Milka & Strawberry (Pound World) By @Cinabar

Pound World in Wolverhampton is a sad sight at the minute. It is closing down and has reductions on reductions and very empty shelves. We have had quite a few of our purchases for Foodstuff Finds over the years and I couldn’t resist taking one last look. They were a haven for import and new products. The shelves were well picked over but I spotted on the side a Milka bar I hadn’t tried before and could resist picking some bars up.

The is bar is called Milka and Strawberry but is different to the strawberry cream’s I’ve tried from Milka as it is an individual size and has white bits inside the bar. The information on the back of the pack doesn’t go further than “crispy pieces”, I had wondered if they were meringue as they are quite white, but they seemed to be wheat based.
The bar does taste like a big strawberry cream though, but the filling is a little thicker. It isn’t too sweet and the crispy pieces add nicely to the texture. I really like Milka chocolate, as it has a very creamy taste, and this went well with strawberry filling. This is very much a summer bar, and as I had the last piece I said a cheers to Pound World, it will be missed on our high street.

Milka Choco Sticks (Pound World) By @Cinabar

Okay you can call them Choco Sticks, but I’ll be honest the first thing I thought was Chocolate Finger biscuits, the second thing I thought was that they were just like the ones made by Cadbury. Now Milka is one of the best selling chocolates on the continent, and as Milka and Cadbury are owned by the same parent company it isn’t unusual for their products to have more than a passing resemblance, albeit with the different the chocolates.
As it happens I have a large place in my heart for Milka chocolate, so I was really excited to find these biscuits in a pound shop of all places. There was a decent amount of biscuits in the pack, and they seemed to be the same shape and size as Cadbury Fingers. I gave one a bite and thoroughly enjoyed the Milka chocolate taste. I know that the taste of chocolate is a personal thing, and a lot of it is about the chocolate you had as a kid, but for me I love Milka and as such I loved these biscuits. The difference in taste is subtle, it is just a hint less sweet, a little more milky and there is a background nuttiness to it. The biscuit centre was a good texture, crunchy, but soon gives way.
These were very enjoyable to munch on, and I enjoyed the opportunity to try another Milka chocolate product. Import goodies often turn up in strange places like pound shops and I will be keeping my eye out for more.

Milka Tassimo ( New Recipe) [@cinabar]

Now when the courier arrived this morning and dropped off my order from Tassimo I didn't think there would be anything blog worthy in the box. This is not to say that I don’t find Tassimo blog worthy, it was just that it was a semi-regular topper up order. I got some Chai Lattes as they aren't available in the shops, Milka hot chocolate for the same reason and a couple of different makes of latte mostly to top the order up enough so that I could use a voucher that was emailed to me to get a free Milka mug. On a side note I am a Milka fan girl, which is why I order this hot chocolate from the Internet.
Clearly then when my new mug arrived I immediately wanted to make a Milka hot chocolate in it. This is when I noticed that the Milka t-disc had a make-over and it was a new recipe. First thing to note most of the hot chocolates in the Tassimo are made using two discs, one milk based and one chocolate based, both of these are usually liquid. Even Suchards one disc variation is still liquid filled. I was suspicious then when the I spotted the Milka Tassimo had been reduced to one t-disc and, when I shook it, I realised it was just powder. Oh my, that didn't bode well.

I popped my new mug under the Tassimo, inserted the t-disc and started it off. Now this is the official Milka Mug from Tassimo and I'm making the official Milka Tassimo hot chocolate in it, so why on earth doesn't the drink fill the mug? Seriously where is the rest of my drink, you couldn't serve someone that in a cafe, it looks dreadful leaving a huge gap at the top of the mug. There is a top-up mode on the Tassimo but I didn't want to have to resort to that when I'm taste testing as all that does it add extra hot water. Surely the Milka Tassimo hot chocolate should naturally be an exact fit for the Milka Tassimo mug? Apparently not.

Issue number two occurred when I went to take out the used t-disc from the machine and I could see powder (still dry in places) and some soggy cocoa slush still within it. I could see it hadn't mixed completely. I did later try a second Milka with the same results.
The flavour was almost acceptable, and that was it. It wasn’t the rich soothing flavour it used to have. It was watery like an instant hot chocolate, unexciting. There was a vague hint of Milka with that nuttiness but ultimately I had just made a dull instant hot chocolate. I have a kettle I can make flavourless instant hot chocolate whenever I want, a lot cheaper too, so I really don't see the point of this. It works out quite expensive for instant hot chocolate, the original Milka was a liquid and mixed really well, but those days are gone. We wouldn’t accept it if they switched my espresso to instant, so why is this okay? I now have a fab Milka mug and absolutely no use for it. Here is hoping they correct the recipe asap because I can't see anyone making a repeat purchase. I want my Milka hot chocolate back. :-(

Milka Oreo (@CyberCandyLTD) [By @Cinabar]

It is no secret that Milka is my favourite brand of chocolate, it has a certain nutty and sweet goodness about its flavour that just really works for my taste buds. Sadly the best selection of Milka flavours hasn’t yet made it to UK shelves, but thankfully CyberCandy are on hand to help. The latest addition to their selection is Milka Oreo, also one of my favourite biscuits, and as both are owned by the Kraft brand it is easier for them to link up in this way.
This Milka bar is in the usual purple wrapper, but the Oreo logo sits neatly top right. Inside the packaging the Milka bar has a few clues to its contents with some crumbs of dark Oreo shining through on the surface, but once broken in half the filling becomes clear. There is plenty of white stuff within the bar, and lots of biscuit bits too.
Thankfully the coating provides a generous helping of Milka chocolate in this bar, and its flavour shines through perfectly. It is complimented by the filling which is silky smooth from the crème but broken up by the texture of crunchy Oreo pieces. The Oreo flavour is mainly the ‘stuff’ filling but the dark tasting Oreo bits add a good contrast flavour too.
It’s a sweet bar, but my sweet tooth knows no limits and I loved it. I liked the range of complex textures, from the outer chocolate shell cracking, through to the creamy filling and crunchy biscuit.
This bar was always going to be win win for me, it’s my favourite brand of chocolate mixed with a favourite brand of biscuit and the combination was a total sweet treat. I loved every chunk of the bar, and was honestly in chocolate heaven.
Now if only they would made an Oreo with a limited edition Milka filling or coating....

Milka Popcorn (Germany) [By @Cinabar]

I have to say a bit thank you to my dad for bringing this bar of Milka back from Germany for me. He knows it’s my favourite chocolate, and so kept an eye out see what was new when he was last visiting. Germany always has a better selection of Milka then we get here in the UK, but its availability in the country is improving.
To say this bar is a Milka bar containing popcorn is an understatement. It would be fairer to say it is a mountain of popcorn jam packed together and held there using loads of Milka chocolate! It truly is packed with popcorn! The texture is amazing, soft, but crunchy and filled with flavour. Some chunks the nutty popcorn taste dominates, but with others it is the sweet Milka chocolate that takes centre stage. The diverse texture makes it so moreish, and despite the size of the bar, it really didn’t last very long! Popcorn and Milka chocolate are two of my favourite things, so I think I may have found a dream bar here. :-)
So the bar is somewhere between being chocolate coated popcorn and being a bar of chocolate – and the middle ground is pretty much heaven. I have my fingers and toes crossed that this will get a UK release, or at least become available in the import shops!

Bosch Tassimo & Milka Hot Chocolate (@Tassimo) [By @Cinabar]

Oh my, I have a new toy in the house, and I’d like to introduce you all to my new Tassimo machine. I think I have made it clear on many occasions that I love my hot drinks, be it teas, coffee or hot chocolates, and I find a time for each of the above.
The Tassimo caught my eye as it had some brilliant features which are perfect for a lazy person like me. You put a drinks disc in, press a button and your drink appears. It’s fast to make a drink, with drinks brewing in under 60 seconds, which impressively beats a kettle! The machine has almost no maintenance and comes complete with a Brita water filter so shouldn’t even need de-scaling. There is no cleaning up after or before use, you pop the T-Disc in, after the drink has been made you remove it, no drips or anything it’s all just a clean environment. When the machine has finished the drink it jets some steam through itself just to make sure there is no residue. Also the used T-Discs are recyclable which is an important addition when you have the recycle police in the house (aka Spectre).


More than this though, Tassimo is the only manufacturer to have Milka hot chocolate, and I’m sure you are all aware of my feelings on the subject of Milka – as it is the best darn milk chocolate on the planet!!! :-D I have been wanting to try Tassimo Milka hot chocolate since 2008 and here is a link to prove it!!!
If you have used a Tassimo machine you will be aware that some of the drinks are quite small, and only fill a cups worth. As I prefer my hot drinks in a mug, I have been a bit disappointed with the size of some of them. The cappuccino it makes are lovely, but are a bit small so the Latte Macchiato (unsweetened) has been my coffee of choice because it fills a mug properly. I am pleased to say that this Milka hot chocolate also fills a mug which is a relief as a hot chocolate should be a long soothing savoured drink! I have tried the Suchards hot chocolate in the Tassimo and had to use a double measure of T-Discs to fill the mug, and I only rated the drink as ‘nice’ at the end of it. I have loved the coffee but as this was my first trial of a hot chocolate I was a bit disappointed.


I had my fingers crossed when I popped in the Milka T-Disc and it turns out I was in luck. The Milka drink it makes is pure heaven. The flavour is a lot stronger than the Suchards, and you can definitely pick up on the distinct alpine Milka taste. The chocolate drink is smooth and velvety, and topped with lovely milk froth and chocolate. The flavour has a hint of nut and lots of cream and is just absolutely perfect. I know I’m a Milka fan girl, but for me it is an absolutely dreamy drink. It made me want to hug the Tassimo and say thank you!!! I can’t work out why so many of the shops don’t stock the Milka T-Discs particularly as they actually make a full mug too. I had to buy these online, but as you can imagine I’ve already ordered a second box! Also in my last online order I have included a packet of Twinings Chai Latte which sounds gorgeous, and either myself or Spectre will be writing about that soon too.

New Milka: Milka Rice Vanilla / Milka Cream & Almond Splitter [Pound Shop][By @Cinabar]

I have to start with a big thank you to David H for locating these two new bars of Milka for me. They are both quite interesting flavours, one of which is with a rice dessert taste which is something I’ve not seen before. I’m a big Milka fan, so as usual apologies for any bias that may have sneaked subtly in to the following write ups...

Milka Cream & Almond Splitter
This bar is enrobed in the finest milk chocolate known to man. ;-) Inside its filling is a thick creamy layer of light almond paste, with small pieces of almond mixed in for good measure. The filling is lovely and creamy, and the nutty flavour is strong without being too floral as almond sometimes can be. I liked the gentle crunch from the nut pieces, as it gave the bar a good mix of textures. The flavour was smooth and I really adored the nut and Milka combo, so this made a fabulous bar for me.

Milk Rice Vanilla
Well this is an unusual combination of flavours for a chocolate bar, and I think it is trying to represent some sort of rice pudding dessert. The Milka chocolate is obviously perfection as an outer shell as Milka always is. ;-) The filling is a little bit different. It is creamy, but has a slight crunch to it from what seems to be puffed rice. As these puffed rice bits are in a paste, they are also kind of lightly chewy. The texture is a bit odd, but the flavour of the filling is nice, it’s sweet almost honey like and does have a hint of rice pudding about it. So the tastes are really positive, but the texture lets it down a little. Out of the two new bars, the almond one is the clear winner, but I’ve always had a weakness for nuts and chocolate. This rice bar does get bonus points for creativity though. :-)

Milka Toffee Whole Nuts (Sweden) [@choccieman] [By @Cinabar]

I am not ashamed of my sweet tooth, and I am most certainly not ashamed of favouring Milka as a favourite brand of chocolate. It is sweet, creamy and has a lovely nutty edge. Warning: This review may contain bias, but that is because Milka is fab!
Anyway Choccieman knows I’m a Milka-holic, and very kindly treated me to this bar while on his travels. You should check out his amazing website with a huge choccie database too: http://www.chocolatereview.co.uk
When I unwrapped the bar I could see that each cube of chocolate had a button of Milka chocolate on top of it, to allow for the space of the hazelnut in the mix. I tried the chocolate and wow, it really is sweet. There is loads of rich toffee flavour cream, sweet burnt sugar liquid toffee and a woody hazelnut taste too. If that wasn’t enough the Milka chocolate is also there, and adds its touch to the flavours. This bar is a sweetness overload, but in the very best way possible way and is absolutely fantastic.
It’s not subtle, it’s all the sweetest tastes together, I’ve never seen both liquid toffee and mousse combined before! The hazelnut and Milka join the party, all taking us back to the days before we cared about chocolate percentages and back to when it was okay to enjoy the sweetest of tastes. This is a sugar high like no other, and I am proud to say I can still appreciate it for what it is, Milka at its very best!

Spanish Milka Bars [M-Joy and Leo] [by @NLi10]

I've been on holiday to Spain and picked up a few local snacks to try out.

After trying the Oreos I thought I'd have a look at the local Milka efforts:


The first thing I did after getting off the plane was to buy vending machine lunch of this Milka M-Joy. Before I bought it I presumed it was hazelnuts, but on receiving the ice-cold bar it was almonds.

As it turns out this is really quite nice, and as I was fairly hungry it didn't last that long. I liked the mix of flavours as the nuts and slightly bland (sorry cinabar!) milky chocolate blended together and worked. As I like my chocolate weaponised and overpowering it wouldn't be my usual choice, but it was a great change to the Cadbury's whole nut equivalent we'd get in a UK machine.

Next up was LEO - which is blatantly Milka KitKat:



Again, this was from a vending machine (at the Alhambra in Granada no less) and was an impulse hunger based buy. There was a lot more wafer in there than I'd expected and this even went along the bottom of the bar too so the snap wasn't quite as definitive as the real feline-based wafer bar. I did enjoy this though as the wafer actually had flavour and was pretty crispy.

Spanish KitKat is very similar to the UK one but the chocolate itself seems a bit creamier and toned down. The packaging said something along these lines but my Spanish isn't great so I'm not sure whether it's a new feature to appeal to the Euro market or just clarifying that it won't scare off those not used to proper chocolate.

Overall I'd buy the M-Joy almond again, but probably revert to KitKat for the wafer snack (but LEO was a good 2nd choice).

New UK Milka Bars: Popping Candy and Cookies & Cream (Poundland)

One of the things I love about German Milka is that their bars are available in such fantastic flavours. Somebody over there has a brilliant imagination and even their basic Pear and Almond Mousse seems out of the world to us. Don’t get me started on the Watermelon and Popping Candy, but I think it will be a while before Milka risk anything that crazy for the UK market.
Having said that I did hear rumours over a couple of new Milka bars out for the UK market, and searched most of the town centre looking for them. I walked away disappointed, and decide to have a last look for interesting items in the pound shop before leaving for home. I was amazed to see both new bars on their shelves, with a large ‘three for two’ offer. Mission accomplished.

Milka Popping Candy
Gosh I love Milka chocolate, it’s so unassumingly sweet and creamy. I can appreciate the sharp rich tones of a 70% cocoa bar as much as the next chocolate connoisseur, but pop a square of Milka in my mouth and my heart fills with memories of childhood and I become eight years old again. The addition of popping candy to this bar meant I just couldn’t stop smiling as it only enhanced this concept.
The sweet creamy filling, the nutty tones in the chocolate and the crunch from the crystals meant the texture and taste were diverse. Just when it started to settle, the crackling from the popping candy hits. My mouth was filled with tingling with popping noises and I felt obliged to open my mouth so Spectre could hear... he looked at me strangely, and then I remembered I’m in my thirties, not eight anymore!

Milka Cookies & Cream
This lovely Milka bar is filled with a creamy light mousse, with pieces of dark cookie trapped inside. The cookie pieces make the chocolate lovely and crunchy, but the overwhelming sweetness takes over the senses. There are sweet cocoa tones, creamy vanilla flavours and sweet cookies pieces too. To be fair the darker edge of the biscuit does come through towards to end of the flavour, and leaves the palette with a slightly less sweet edge. This was an enjoyable chocolate, and it reminded me of the flavour of Oreo biscuits. I couldn’t eat as much of it as I could with the Popping Candy bar, but I can assure you it would be perfect for anyone with sugar or chocolate cravings!

Earlier I mentioned that these bars were on a ‘three for two’ offer, and for the record I purchased two of the Popping Candy variety. Having now tested both bars I feel made the right choice, as it is just something a bit different and fun.
I know I’m biased when it comes to Milka, but I just can’t help but love the brand. The more fun and interesting bars they release here in the UK the better as far as I am concerned. I just love the sweet nutty chocolate.

Milka Small Bars (UK)

Just a very quick note for UK Milka fans... although not a new bar as such, I did spot that Milka have released some smaller impulse 45g chocolate bars, in both milk chocolate and milk chocolate with Dime. I don’t need to re-review these, as you all know my feelings on Milka, but I just wanted to keep you all updated! Yum!

Milka Choco Minis Stars [Biscuits] (Cybercandy)

I was so pleased to discover that Cybercandy had started stocking a few (and it is only a few) items of Milka, I just had to get these biscuits when I saw them. I chose the biscuit as it is something new to me, I have tried quite a few Milka chocolate bars, but not their biscuits before.
They came in a lunch box sized mini roll, with six biscuits stacked in the pack. The packaging shows them to have a layer of creamy biscuit, a layer of thick fluffy mallow and a star shape of Milka chocolate decorating the top (see the first photograph). What I found them to have was similar, except that the fluffy layer of mallow was just a thin sheet (see second photograph).
These biscuits tasted pleasant enough, the Milka chocolate shone through, but the shortbread and the mallow were nothing special. They were nice enough to eat, but didn’t warrant the excitement I had when I first saw them. Although nicely decorated, I wouldn’t rush out to buy them again. I do hope Cybercandy get a few more interesting items for me to try.

Milka Raspberry Cream [Limited Edition Cocoa Pleasure] (Germany)

This is another limited edition Milka bar for the New Year. There is the usual Milka milk chocolate, but this bar is filled with a cocoa and raspberry soft cream. My favourite Milka Chocolate is actually Milka Cream, as I love the smooth soft texture of the chocolate and the way that it so easily melts in the mouth. This chocolate has a similar consistency, and does not disappoint.
The filling also has a lovely sweet fresh fragrant raspberry flavour mixed in, that is well balanced with the milk chocolate. It is a very flavoursome bar, and the raspberry complements the milk chocolate rather than overpowers it. Just another of the wonderful flavours of Milka available abroad which hasn’t yet made it to the shelves of the UK.
