French's Relish New York Deli Pickle (Waitrose) [By @Cinabar]

I first discovered my love of French’s mustard in American style burger bars. Ed’s Diner for example has a bottle on every table, and is an absolute essential on their hot dogs. I wasn’t really aware that they made any other products, but when my mum alerted me to the fact that Waitrose had started stocking French's Relish New York Deli Pickle I couldn’t wait to give it a go.
It says on the bottle that it can be served on burgers, hot dogs and sandwiches, so I tried it out one lunch time.
The pickle is in a squeezy bottle, that needs refrigerating after opening. the contents are yellow in colour and it is slightly textured, but thin enough to go on a sandwich easily. The flavour it turns out is absolutely delicious. I was quite taken aback by just how nice it is. I do like gherkins, and there is one pictured on the front of the tub, but not so much that I’d normally have them on sandwiches. This however has converted me. The taste is acidic, sweet and sour, with a good hit of both onion and gherkin. I love the sharpness, and the seasoned aftertaste. I could almost eat it straight from the bottle. It is like magic in a squeezy tub, and I can’t wait to try this on burgers for the barbecue season, and frankly anything else! :-)

I found this in Asda today after years of searching for pickle relish. My school friend used to have it on her sandwiches with cheese a long time ago and I'd always be so envious. So for the past 20 years I have been searching. Lol!
I pounced on this when I saw it in Asda and had to stop myself from buying multiple bottles. I have just tried it with cheese on a sandwich and it is amazing. Really tangy and and very delicious. Next shopping trip I will be buying in bulk!
