Lays Oven Baked Crunchy Biscuits - Grilled Bacon (Poundland) By @Cinabar

Lays Oven Baked Crunchy Biscuits - Grilled Bacon

Well it is 2019 and I’m not one for resolutions, but we do have every intention of keeping up our daily blog posts going this year, like every year for the last 10 years!
I start then with a product found in Poundland, that has been imported by them, hence the name Lays in what looks like the Walkers logo. I found Lays Oven Baked Crunchy Biscuits Grilled Bacon flavour and thought they didn’t really mean biscuits, that they meant some sort of baked potato crisps snack. I opened up the bag and realised they actually did mean savoury biscuits.

We shared these with some sandwiches, and treated them much like they were regular potato crisps. I didn’t think you were suppose to add cheese and pickle to them, but perhaps I missed something? The flavour of these is actually very good, the bacon isn’t that difference to what you would expect from a British Smokey Bacon tase, but there is a slightly more bitter aftertaste. It is nice though. I liked the flavour, but what was weird was the texture. The biscuits feel too thick at first, and it took me a few to get used to them. I am putting this down to a cultural difference, because I did get used to them, and taste wise they were spot on. For £1 a bag they are worth hunting out in the pound shops. It is good to start the year on something new, and we look forward to discovering what 2019 has to offer.
