Walkers 1980’s Chicken Tikka Masala Flavour Crisps (Ocado) By @SpectreUK

As part of Walkers ‘Celebrating Flavours of the Decades’ editions these Chicken Tikka Masala flavour crisps revel in the 1980’s. This was the decade when I first had Indian Takeaways, when my dad would trump up the cash. The first Indian Takeaway I personally had was indeed a Chicken Tikka Masala. It was bright red. It looked like the insides of a hedgehog that had been driven over by a truck. It did actually make me feel slightly sick until I finally managed to start eating it. I dubbed it a ‘roadkill’ every time my mom ordered me one since that point. I really enjoyed it at the time and have noticed over the years the colour changes from restaurant to restaurant, so it often is more of a pleasing creamy brownish colour. They always taste great and I was equally impressed by the similar aroma on opening the packet. I was also impressed by the taste. Not only have they nailed down the curry flavour of Tikka Masala, but also the chicken tastiness and a mouth-watering creamy sauce finish. These Chicken Tikka Masala flavour crisps really are very good. They brought back some fun memories from my childhood. The first tentative tastes of spicy food, to takeaways in and meals out with my dad who passed away last year, to the sheer variety of delicious food that is available in Indian cuisine that I have tasted since and continue to enjoy.
Information on the packet;
The 25g packet has 130 calories, with 7.4g of fat, 0.6g of sugar and 0.34g of salt. These crisps are suitable for Vegetarians. See photograph for ingredients.
