Sticky Toffee Pudding Bites (Marks and Spencers) By @Cinabar

These new Sticky Toffee Pudding Bites caught my eye in the confectionary section of Marks and Spencers. They are in the popular grab bag format and are designed for sharing. I opened up the bag and poured out the contents and have to say I had been expecting a few more bites than there actually were in the bag. Ok so I’m greedy, but perhaps it was just because they were a little larger than other choccies you get in these sorts of bags and there were fewer to compensate.

I know that these are Sticky Toffee Pudding but their sweetness still came as a surprise, they are designed for the sweet toothed. The the flavours of burnt caramel and buttery toffee shone though, and this mixed with the chocolate made for a sugary indulgence. The texture is quite soft and although there are various layers, caramel and a tiny bit of crunch, they don’t take much to eat as they soften and melt away very quickly. I had another look at the contents of the bag and realised that in reality there were plenty, these bites of chocolate and toffee goodness are so very sweet that by the time I had eaten a couple I realised that I had eaten plenty and my desire for something sweet had surpassed me. I have a very sweet tooth and a high tolerance, so I have to admit it is unusual to find something that pushes my barriers. Oh well, I managed to save a few for a another day.
