I was very excited to see another new variety of Wotsits available in the supermarket. Im pretty sure there used to be some beef flavoured Wotsits many years ago, but these Wotsits Sizzling Steak edition are a new product, even if there was something similar in the past. I poured some out at lunch time to share with sandwiches, which is what we do with the share bags of crisps. I think my first mistake was having the huge Giant Wotsits before eating these ones. I loved the Wotsits GIANTS Flaming Hot edition, they were wonderful both is flavour and texture. Their size made me smile, they were fun but they also worked in terms of texture. These crisps are the usual smaller Wotsits size and hence they looked a bit disappointing! I know it is just the regular edition, but once you’ve tried the Giant ones why would you ever go back. They should just start making them bigger.
I have to admit I like the beef flavour for the sizzling steak, it was meaty and tasty and did work quite well, there was just a hint of something smoky that added to the taste and a little saltiness to make them moreish. It is a good flavour and those that remember the beef will welcome back this meaty variety. I just wish they would do a Wotsits GIANT Sizzling Steak edition, turns out size does matter.
