POP Soda Jagged Grapefruit (Tesco) By @Cinabar

I was just looking for a nice drink to pick up in the shop and this can of POP Soda Jagged Grapefruit caught my eye. I took a quick glance at the can and spotted the “Planet Over Profit” ethic and thought I’d give it a try. The POP Soda part of the name is an acronym. The drink is made by Brewdog which isn’t a favourite brand of mine, but the profits of this can go towards fighting climate change, so that is at least a good thing.

The drink was very pink when I poured it out, it looked super summery in the glass. The flavour isn’t quite as bright, but I worry I have just become accustomed to overly sweet soft drinks, even the sugar-free drinks are usually very sweet. This drink had a nice grapefruit flavour, and an edge of sour and gentle sweetness. It is a grown-up drink in terms of flavour and I found it refreshing on a warm day. I love the ethos of the drink and gladly recycled the can, doing my bit. Yeah, maybe I’d have preferred a bigger flavour hit, but I have always had a very sweet tooth.
