Jammie Dodgers: Apple & Blackcurrant Burst (Tesco) By @cinabar

Exciting times! We have new biscuits on the shelf. There is a new flavour of one of the most popular varieties, Jammie Dodgers: Apple and Blackcurrant Burst. They are packaged in a fabulous purple wrapper, so you can spot them on the shelf.

So these are classic biscuits that have a heart shape on the front, showing the jam in the middle. I thought the jam peeking through would look more purple, given the packaging, but in reality it is just a shade or so darker than a regular Jammie Dodger. The flavour is very distinct, though. The blackcurrant is lovely and strong and sharp, and as the butter biscuit flavour softens everything, it finishes with a softer, sweeter touch of apple. The fruit is a delight, and I really enjoyed them. I really hope this version of Jammie Dodgers: Apple and Blackcurrant Burst stays around, I’m going back for another pack.
