McVitie’s VIB Classic Caramel Bliss (Asda) By @SpectreUK

McVitie’s VIB Classic Caramel Bliss

These McVitie's VIB Classic Caramel Bliss sound like the perfect treat to celebrate bonfire night indoors with a mug of tea or hot chocolate, whilst watching the fireworks through the window. The weather has been pretty cold, windy and damp for the last few days. As we enter our second lockdown it's good to stretch our legs once a day or so, even in the rain, but tonight I'm just watching the fireworks and savouring my last third of this packet of caramel and milk chocolate digestives.

I have a bad habit of eating biscuits whole. I never bite them and spread crumbs everywhere. I'm just not the dainty type. One whole biscuit in my mouth after another. It's also hard to stop munching once I've started. I try to count to five biscuits whilst I'm writing and eating, as 400 calories is a very good pudding after an early start in my 'kitchen gym' and then working at home for the rest of the day.

On taste these slightly gooey and slightly chewy McVitie's VIB Classic Caramel Bliss taste great. They want to be crunchy and the digestive biscuit part does what it is supposed to do underneath the thick milk chocolate and slightly gooey caramel top layers, but they end up being more of a chew than a crunch. This is not a bad thing at all in my opinion. There's the milk chocolate to start with, and then chewing down through the gooey succulent and sweet caramel layer which mixes well with the crunchy digestive. Mmm… bliss. Enjoy your fireworks and stay safe in every way!

Information on the packet; There are 15 biscuits in the packet at 80 calories per biscuit, at 16.7g per biscuit they have 3.6g of fat, 5.2g of sugar, and 0.14g of salt. Please see photograph for the ingredients.
