Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate (Hotel Chocolat) By @Cinabar

I was lucky enough to get a Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser for my birthday this year and I has spent some time trying out all the different Hotel Chocolat hot chocolate flavours. There was a selection box with the different drinks in sachets included with my gift. You don’t need a Velvetiser to buy their drinks, you can mix the ingredients into hot milk and whisk, but I love a gadget and it does make the drink super smooth.

So first off with their hot chocolates, I am pleased to announce there are no bad options. Even the chocolate chilli variety (which came in my selection box) was good, dark chocolate and a bit of heat that is warming rather than fiery. I was pleasantly surprised. For my sweet tooth though I couldn’t resit the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate, so much so I have bought myself this tub. The drink is a milky chocolate flavour with a rich cocoa, the caramel is lovely and sweet and it tastes soothing and mellow, the salt just adds a gentle bite to the flavour and enhances the caramel. I know I go on about caramel being the simple option for brands, and I always want to have something more exciting but I have to admit this Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate from Hotel Chocolat is everything I need in a drink. Yum.
