Orange Maltesers Bunny (Asda) By @Cinabar

I think orange as a flavour has had a successful 2020. Not many things or people have but orange chocolate has seen a surge of products and is really “on trend”. It seems that this is continuing into 2021 and certainly it is starting to appear in the new Easter products. I picked up one these Orange Maltesers Bunny chocolates and wondered if it orange would mix with the malt flavour.

First thing I noticed when I took the wrapper off was how cute the chocolate bunny is! I broke him in half anyway, it had to be done. Inside you can see there is plenty of filling with plenty of small malty bits mixed into the filling. The flavour worked well. The first thing to hit os the thick and creamy melt of the milk chocolate, there the are sweet citrus tone of rich orange, followed by the malty taste. It shouldn’t really work but it does, orange and Maltesers flavour is rather nice together. I liked the texture too and the malt bits inside give a light crunch. This Orange Maltesers Bunny is definitely something I will be picking up again as a treat when I am out picking up groceries.
