Mr Kipling Chocolate Orange Whirls (Sainsburys) By @Cinabar

Mr Kipling Chocolate Orange Whirls

I am well aware that it is the start of January and as a nation we are supposed to go on a collective health kick for a month. Some people are dieting, some are stopping drinking and some using Veganuary to give up on animal products. My problem is we over purchased for Christmas so still have treats to finish off. So yes, I opened up a box of Mr Kipling Chocolate Orange Whirls and munched some while watching the telly. Oops.

There are six Mr Kipling Chocolate Orange Whirls in the box and they didn’t quite look as pretty as the packaging. They consist of a sandwich of soft biscuit with an orange crème filling in between. What they lacked in appearance, the whirls weren’t strongly defined, they made up for in taste. The flavour was lovely not overly sweet but plenty of chocolate and orange to see me through. The flavours were mellow but tasty, and I had two with my cup of tea. They were a bit crumbly, to eat and I had to be carefully when eating to keep an eye on biscuit bits, but I also enjoyed the soft texture. For once I didn’t dunk these biscuits partly because they were soft enough and partly because I worried they would disintegrate in the process.
These are Christmas flavours but I don’t care as our tree is staying up until Sunday! If you see a box of these Mr Kipling Chocolate Orange Whirls in the shops I’d advise picking them up for a last minute seasonal treat, you might even be lucky enough to find them reduced too!
