Cadbury’s Screme Egg (Asda)
I love Cadbury’s Creme eggs, but usually have to wait until New Years Day before getting my hands on one after Easter. Thankfully this year I have managed to get hold of this Asda exclusive Cadbury’s Halloween themed Screme Egg.
In terms of taste it is identical to the normal lovely cream eggs. The chocolate is the expected thick creamy Cadbury’s, and the filling is the usual sweet fondant. What’s new for this limited edition egg is that the yolk is a ghoulish green for the season. This is not the most novel of product, but I won’t complain too much if it means I get a Cadbury’s Creme egg in October!
I do have to say it is a shame that it is an Asda exclusive though, not because I have anything against Asda, it is just that not everyone has access to all the major supermarkets, so there are obviously going to be people who miss out.
If you do manage to get your mitts on one of these fine eggs, I guess the only thing you have to think about is: How are you going to eat yours..?

Did the egg scream as the train was approaching? :)
Yes, it screme-d :-D and the spectre giggled ;-)
Well you sure are having fun with the Halloween treats this week! ;-) Thanks for the giggles.
And very sad indeed that these are ASDA exclusive, don't have one near me. :-(
I don't live near a Tesco, and they often have exclusives. Thankfully I made a special trip this week and picked up a couple of goodies I wouldn't have otherwise seen. Will write about them after the Halloween extravaganza! ;-)
I do wish companies wouldn't give one supermarket exclusivity though - makes finding new products a bit more tricky.
They are not Asda exculsives... I work for a well known off licence chain and we got a stock of these in today :)
This was last years review - but I'm really pleased to hear that they are back for 2011 and are more widely available! Can't wait to have another. :-)
No, just the same as a regular Creme Egg in taste.
We are planning some more Halloween creative photos this year too - so do keep an eye out. :-)
Your egg has far more green in it than mine did! I could barely see the green in mine :(
:,( I wanted one SO BAD and never ended up buying one, even though they were still for sale around Christmas near me- I just never got the nerve to give in to my cravings.
Now I'm really sad about missing out :(
Hope they do them next year
Anon- they have been out two years running so no doubt will be back next Halloween. I should say they aren't flavoured though, they are just like regular Creme Eggs.
I saw them a Sheetz this weekend. My wife loves them.
These are not an asda exclusive! I have seen them in The Co - op and in Selfridges.
The review is from 2010, when they were a lot more elusive to find - really pleased to see that they are more available now - such an ace product! :-)
